All users in the clinic have phones not working and all computers have no access to Internet
- When a clinic has no internet access and / or cannot create a ticket, they should call Patient Care Centre by calling their clinic number and selecting option 1. On that ticket the PCC agent should include contact name, contact phone number and indicate the issue the clinic is having. Clinic should confirm internet being out when phones and all computers are down and also by looking at the Modem (please see step 2). Clinic must provide light status on modem.
- Look for modem and advise of light status. Light status would and should be provided as soon as no internet is determined.
Most of the clinics will have a Bell 1000 Hub Light status required: Power, WAN, Internet. Note the light status before restarting the modem. Restart this modem and provide the light status as well.
Other clinic may have cable modem for example Cisco DPC 3825. Light status required before and after restarting the modem (Power, DownStream, UpStream, Online). Online light color (orange or green) and solid on or blinking is important.
Others may have Motorolla SBG 6580 as following. Please again note the light status before and after restarting the modem (Power, Receive, Send, Online).
